We have a big mission

There are many companies and organisations that are happy to sell you beautifully made stuff, with exquisite packaging and a slick website. We believe that there is a growing collective concern about the origin of the materials used and how the artists and back-office staff are recruited, trained, treated, remunerated and respected.

Bags of Genius cic is very different, we will actively be seeking to locate, train and recruit team members that most organisations wouldn’t even talk to let alone employ.

This may sound bonkers, but the core of what Bags is about is improving the lives of everyone we interact with - from the homeless person, to the ex-prisoner who can’t get an interview, to the housebound person who cannot get a real job, to someone who is ex-forces [military veteran] and dealing with mental health trauma and employment prejudice.
